Event Breakdown
Friday, November 13 — The Scrimmage + Draft Ceremony
Your Rescue Me journey kicks off on Friday November 13th with a high-energy evaluation scrimmage at the NSC Super Rink. Coaches and scouts from all teams will be locked in, evaluating players on speed, skill, compete level, and overall hockey IQ.
After the skate, coaches head behind closed doors for an intense snake draft to build their rosters.
Meanwhile, your fans, family, and the public can enjoy a massive event at the NSC Welcome Center, featuring:

The Rescue Me Draft Ceremony
Coaches return to the Welcome Center stage and announce their picks one by one. When your name is called:

Each of the four teams gets their moment - capped with team photos and a celebration that kicks off the weekend.
November 14-15: The Tournament
After the opening-night excitement, the real battle begins. As a player, you’ll compete in a two-day, high-intensity tournament, where teams earn points not only for wins, but also for additional competitive and team-based achievements.
Full scoring details will be announced soon - and they will keep every game electric (Hint – Make sure that you invite everyone you know to the draft and tournament games). Every shift matters. Every point counts. Every team has a chance to make a run.

If you’re a Minnesota Police Officer or Firefighter with high-level hockey experience, this is your moment. This event will sell out - and the players who register fastest are the ones who hit the ice.
Only the first 80 qualified players to register will play (4 game guarantee).
Registration fee: $100 (covers ice time, your Rescue Me Hockey jersey, and other event gear/swag).
NOTE: We encourage all Rescue Me Hockey registrants to invite their family, friends, and co-workers to be part of this experience by sponsoring you. Whether through fundraising or direct cash donations given to you, their support can help offset expenses like your player registration fee, lodging, and travel related to participating in this incredible event. It’s a meaningful way for the people in your life to stand behind you and support the mission of Rescue Me Hockey- even if they’re unable to attend in person (but remember, the more people you can get to come to each of the days of this event, it MIGHT help your team - In police work, they call that a clue.
